Estados Unidos del Pop

El otro día leí en un libro de Stephen King, Duma Key, una frase que decía "Si deseas algo con toda tu alma, pero eres realmente malo, te conformas con estar mínimamente relacionado con ello". Ese es el caso de Dj Earworm, un norteamericano aspirante a cantante, que fue rechazado por innumerables discográficas que, en el peor, de los casos, llegaron a decirle que no tenía (ni tendría jamás) talento.

Pues bien, el destalentado Earworm lleva ya tres años seguidos presentando sus remezclas "The United States of Pop from..." (Estados Unidos del Pop del...) en las que fusiona las 25 canciones más vendidas de cada año según la Tabla Billboard, el equivalente estadounidense de los 40 Principales.

Y es que, una vez ha pasado el año, uno se siente nostálgico cuando vuelve la vista atrás y contempla las canciones que lo han acompañado durante todo el año. Es curioso oír estas remezclas e ir desenmascarando a cada uno de los artistas cuyas voces se esconden tras dichas piezas.


Y ahora les dejo con las 3 últimas piezas de United States of Pop correspondientes a los tres últimos años, con las que, curiosamente, Dj Earworm se ha convertido en el primer Dj de la historia en entrar dentro de la citada Tabla Billboard (plazas número 100, 58 y 50 consecutivamente).
